Prof. Dr. Wenjie Dai, PhD, MD, is the director of Department of Thyroid Surgery, director of Key Laboratory of Hepatosplenic Surgery, associated director of Key Laboratory of Cell Transplantation of the First Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical School. He studied in Japan for 1 years and was a visiting scientist in Australia. Prof. Dai is a member of the standing committee of Chinese Thyroid Association and Chinese Research Hospital Association Society for Thyroid and is associate director of Chinese Research Hospital Association Society for Parathyroid and Bone Metabolic Disease. He serves as the associate editor of ‘Progress in Modern Biomedicine’ and a member on the editorial boards of many scientific journals, including ‘Chinese Journal of Bases and Clinics in General Surgery’, ‘Chinese Journal of Practical Surgery’, ‘Journal of Clinical Surgery’, ‘Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Medicine’ and ‘China Medical Engineering’. Prof. Dai got grants from the National Science Foundation and from the Ministry of health industry fund. His major research interests are in thyroid cancer, targeted therapy and recurrent laryngeal nerve, and he has published over 100 papers in scientific journals.
