Dr. Wei is a medical doctor majoring in nuclear medicine and molecular imaging. He has been dedicated to noninvasive molecular imaging of various cancers and to developing novel antibody-based theranostic probes in the field of thyroid cancer and melanoma. Dr. Wei is interested in radioiodine treatment of differentiated thyroid cancer, as well as molecular targeted therapy of radioiodine-refractory thyroid cancers and strategies overcoming drug resistance of single agent therapy (such as vemurafenib treatment). Dr. Wei has published 19 scientific articles as first author or co-first authors in several world-renowned journals such as Trends in Endocrinology & Metabolism, Theranostics, and European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging. Currently, Dr. Wei is a visiting scholar in University of Wisconsin, Madison under the supervision of Dr. Weibo Cai.
