Dr. Wu obtained his Medical Doctor degree from College of Medicine, Zhejiang University in 2003, and now is the director of the Thyroid Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Center, The First Afﬁliated Hospital, College of Medicine, Zhejiang University. He is also the Deputy Secretary-General of the Thyroid Professional Committee of Chinese Research Hospital Association, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Thyroid Professional Committee of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, the Deputy Chief of Thyroid Group of Surgical Branch of Zhejiang Medical Association, the Vice President of Thyroid Group of Surgical Branch of Zhejiang Medical Association.
Working in General Surgery and the department of thyroid and parathyroid clinical treatment for more than 20 years. Proficiency in early diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid disease and surgical operation of thyroid diseases and have a wealth of experience in this field. Having performed 800 surgeries and served for more than 6000 patients in outpatient per year. Routinely carried out thyroid lobectomy, total thyroidectomy, central lymph node dissection, lateral lymph node dissection, retrosternal goiter resection, recurrent laryngeal nerve monitoring, etc. Specializes in minimally invasive thyroid operation, surgical therapy of substernal thyroid goiter. Having extensive experience in parathyroid and recurrent laryngeal nerve protection in thyroid surgery. He has teaching course of cervical disease for undergraduate and graduate of Zhejiang University School of medicine and training thyroid surgeons of Zhejiang Province. Having undertaken a number of national and provincial research projects as principal Investigator or cooperation with other researchers and published a number of articles in SCI journals.
