Dr. Zhang, associate professor and postdoctoral fellow of Thyroid Surgery Department in the First Hospital of Jilin University, obtained his Doctorate degree from Jilin University. He is now working as a research fellow in the University of California,
San Francisco (UCSF). He is the member of International Society of Surgery (ISS); Member of International Association of Endocrine Surgery (IAES); Secretary and member of Division of Oversea Cooperation, Thyroid Disease Committee of Chinese Research Hospital Association; Youth member of Thyroid Disease Committee, General Surgery Association Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association; Youth member of Chinese Thyroid Association, Jilin Branch of Chinese Medical Doctor Association; Youth member of Chinese General Surgery Association, Jilin Branch of Chinese Medical Doctor Association.
His clinic work focused on the advanced treatment for thyroid and parathyroid tumor, especially by using the micro-invasive technical skill. His research work focused on differentiated thyroid carcinoma and the relationship between thyroid dysfunction and central brain nuclei. He published more than 30 papers (including 9 SCI), edited 2 medical textbooks, involved in 8 research projects, and won the Science and Technology Progress Awards of Jilin Province, Science Academic Achievement Award of Jilin Province, Science and Technology Progress Awards of Changchun City, Medical Achievement Award of Jilin University.
