Aims and scope
The Annals of Thyroid (AOT, Ann Thyroid, ISNN 2522-6681) is an open-access, international peer-reviewed electronic journal, and openly distributed worldwide.It publishes Original Articles, Editorials, Technique Notes, Case Reports and Reviews on all aspects of thyroid. The journal features a distinguished editorial board, which brings together a team of highly experienced specialists in thyroid.
Annals of Thyroid publishes across all relevant fields of research, including but not restricted to: hyrotoxicosis, thyroid hormone resistance and hypothyroidism, thyroid status testing, autoimmune thyroid illness, dysthyroid orbitopathy (Graves’ Ophthalmopathy), bodular thyroid disease, thyroid surgery, thyroid imaging, pediatric and neonatal thyroid disorder, genetics of thyroid disease, thyroid diseases and pregnancy, iodine deficiency, goiter-hypothyroidism-neurological dysfunction, cell biology of the thyrocyte, nuclear and extranuclear actions of thyroid hormones, brain-pituitary-thyroid regulation, and animal models of thyroid disease.
The entire submission is managed through OJS system, an electronic system to provide an efficient way and ensure a rapid turn around of papers submitted for publication. Manuscripts are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editors, and Editorial Board Members, as well as invited referees and a statistician when appropriate.

Submission to First Editorial Decision: 2-4 weeks.
External peer review: 1-2 months.
Acceptance to Publication: 2-4 weeks. Original Articles are listed as priority.
